Are there any free dating websites out there?

im recently separated, and am looking to just join some dating websites, but dont see why I should pay...lol....are there any free ones????

Are there any free dating websites out there?
"One and only" is the best I've found....it's free to browse and contact other people. But they charge for putting a "profile" on. I agree with Quas to a degree, but contact carefully so you can suss people out. I got divorced in my mid-40's and I found that living in a small village, it was difficult to find singles of similar age, likes and intellect...I tried the Internet as a bit of a "suck-it-and-see" and found it excellent when I found the right website. I'm now happily married to a girl I met on "One and Only" and also had some great dates along the way.

p.s. One tip....if you decide to put on a profile ( and I do recommend it) avoid the daft cliches that a lot of women put up. Like "no baggage" " no time wasters" etc. Don't make up narrow guidelines, they are a real off putter to genuine guys...concentrate on making your profile as interesting as possible about YOU don't use valuable space setting down ground rules.........HAPPY HUNTING!

Reply:Freedating.com, I met this guy off there we got on so well. Just didnt last as I got ill an didnt need a man around.
Reply:I personally don't see the need why anyone would degrade themselves to dating websites at all. The internet can be a dangerous place, and a lot of "predatorial" people hang out on dating websites just waiting for the chance to "snag" someone in their trap. Your best off with sticking to finding people in the Real World, where they can't hide behind false identities, fictional lives, and you can see, talk and interact with them face to face.
Reply:I'm in the same situation right now, I got out of a relationship with a guy who was more of a friend (hanging out) than romantic...I dropped him when I found out he was trying to use me and I wouldn't give in...so I am absolutely seeking romance, not sex. Anyway, I tried MySpace, where I found a guy who was in my age range but when I looked him up I found out he was lying about his age. Yahoo Personals should be free, but it isn't and a lot of odd people are on there, too (like the pervert from MySpace). So I don't deal with MySpace or Yahoo anymore. I tried True but all these guys looking for sexual encounters were on there...Craigslist for dating stinks, usually a bunch of people who are trying to find rebound relationships and sex. I am trying Plenty of Fish right now and a lot of the guys are snobby from my local city (they're like that in real life, too, so what do I expect?)...but it is better than the rest of the free dating websites so I am still searching for the right dating website.
Reply:okcupid and liespace.... I mean myspace
Reply:Try plentyoffish.com
Reply:Go to faceparty wedsite they are free. Matchs.com is also free but only for 3 days. But who knows that within 3 days you can find what you looking for. Good luck of searching and be careful as well.
